FESTIVAL FORUM
A space for insight, collaboration, and creative connection
The Festival Forum is a new advisory group created to bring together the voices that make Pittenweem Arts Festival so special – our artists, community members, past Board trustees, and creative partners.
It’s a place for shared ideas, honest feedback, and helpful suggestions. While the Festival Board makes final decisions, the Forum plays a vital role in shaping the Festival’s direction, creativity, and community connections.
What the Forum Does
- Offers informal advice and insight on artist experience, logistics, community events, and visitor engagement
- Acts as a sounding board for key ideas and proposals
- Helps us stay in touch with what matters to our artists and village
- Supports innovation by exploring emerging trends and local opportunities
- May form short-term working groups to tackle topics like accessibility, transport, or specific events
Who’s Involved?
- Artists (including invited, regular, and new exhibitors)
- Community voices (e.g. from schools, local groups, or village organisations)
- Past Board members (offering continuity and mentorship)
- Creative partners and subject experts
The group is chaired by a current Board member, ensuring strong links between strategy and feedback.
How It Works
- The Forum meets 2–4 times per year (virtually or in-person)
- Members are invited for a one-year term, with options to renew
- There is no formalised voting or decision-making - it’s about contributing ideas, and improving the festival for all
- Short-term groups might be created to dive deeper into specific topics
Want to Get Involved?
We're always looking for people with a fresh perspective and a love for the Festival. If you're an artist, local resident, community group representative, or creative thinker who wants to contribute - even just occasionally - we'd love to hear from you.
Contact us at info@pittenweemartsfestival.co.uk to express your interest or find out more.
