LESLEY GARSIDE

Lesley originally started stained glass using the copper foil technique although her first commission, leaded panels for a Victorian property, dates back to 1990.

She now works exclusively using the traditional leaded technique to create unique painted panels inspired by the outdoors, places and history. Her passion for sculpture manifests itself in mixed media pieces although also enjoying forming glass into bowls and more decorative pieces.

Despite excellent early tutelage in glass and painting she did not attend art school until recently – graduating from college with an HND Contemporary Art and currently undertaking a BA Fine Art at DJCAD.

She lives in Perthshire with her artist partner Jonathan and mad spaniel Rosie. Both have studios within the Glamis Gallery complex in Angus.
