LEONIE SIRI MACMILLAN

Leonie Siri MacMillan is a ceramic sculptor, experimenting with bronze and printmaking. She is presently a MFA Fine Art student at DJCAD.

Influences include Kiki Smith, Louise Bourgeois and Barbara Hepworth.

She is interested in mythologies past and present that embrace the climate emergency and gender equality. This year she is retracing her Orcadian ancestry and reclaiming ancient tales that speak of the mysteries of the sea.

New work is emerging that discusses an ethereal balance between humans and nature.
