FAY MCGLASHAN JEWELLER

Fay McGlashan is a Fife based jeweller who has worked in the jewellery trade since the 1980s. Fay has honed her skills and has a remarkable range of techniques to draw upon to create individual pieces. She enjoys learning new ways to combine ancient and traditional methods to create contemporary jewellery that is wearable and in time will become treasured heirlooms.

Fay is inspired by a wide range of influences. Shape and forms found or created by nature are a very influential starting point in her designs. Fay is often influenced by the shards of pottery she finds on Fife beaches. Much of her work is etched silver and may also combine precious metal, found objects, precious stones and semi-precious stones.

Fay also enjoys collaborating with clients to create exquisite bespoke jewellery with a timeless quality. Her work illustrates craftmanship, beauty and style.
